About the Practice ...
The office is open Monday thru Friday at 8:00 am for the scheduling of appointments and to answer any of your questions or concerns. Your health and wellness is the #1 priority of this office. We will assist you in setting up follow up appointments, scheduling procedures, and the scheduling of appointments with specialists.
Please refer to your insurance plan manual for your referral policy. Referrals to specialists for new patients will be authorized only after an initial visit. We require one week for the processing of referrals for routine visits. Emergency referrals will be done on a case by case basis. Most insurances participate with electronic submission. Once completed, your referral will be able to be accessed by your specialist via their secure electronic access.
Refills will be done during our regular office hours. If you are leaving a message on our automated phone system, make sure you leave your name, phone number, prescription, and your pharmacy name and location. Prescription refills are determined by the physician. Depending on the prescription, if too much time has elapsed from your last appointment we will ask you to come in for a visit in order for the prescription to be refilled.
Dr. Wasson usually takes after-hour and emergency calls by himself. Referrals, refills, and new prescriptions will only be authorized during office hours.
We participate with most health insurance plans. If you are unsure if we accept your insurance, please call your health plan directly to see if Dr. Wasson is a participating provider. We will collect your insurance information when you call to set up an appointment and at the time of the visit we will copy your cards. We will do our best to help you determine your insurance plan's coverage, however it is your responsibility to know your insurance plan and its coverage. We will gladly submit the insurance claim.
If you do not have any insurance, payment for service will be due at the time of your visit.
Most insurance require you to pay a copay at the time of your visit. We will collect your copay at the time of registration for that visit.
