As a solo practicing Internist, I offer comprehensive healthcare for adolescents, adults and geriatrics which includes providing prevention, diagnosis and medical treatment of acute or chronic illnesses.  As your primary care physician, you will receive individualized and continuous healthcare for your needs while providing wellness education and try to prevent disease.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Outbreak: 

Dr. James C. Wasson and staff value the health and well-being of our patients. The office staff can be reached at 610-746-1860. We urge you to call the office prior to going to an Urgent Care center so we can ensure social distancing and any critical need will be addressed by Dr. Wasson.  Please do not come to the office without an appointmentWe are attempting to continue to serve in the safest and most responsible manner possible without interrupting your care.     


We will are open to patients who have problems that may be difficult to assess over video chat.  We ask that if you come in, you wear a face mask to the appointment.  We will be spacing out our patients, so there are no other patients here in the office for your appointment.   We ask that you arrive at the time scheduled, come into the office alone and have your driver wait out in the car.  Please advise us if you have any cold-like symptoms or have had contact with anyone positive of COVID-19. 


Types of Appointments to be scheduled in-office include, but not limited to:

  • Wellness Exam
  • Chest pain
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diabetes
  • Blood pressure issues
  • Sutures
  • Weakness (one-sided), Slurred speech
  • Muscular/Skeletal pain
  • Dizziness
  • UTI
  • Anxiety or mental health issues
  • Stress issues
  • Medication changes
  • Allergy shots/immunizations/injections
  • Skin issues

Video Chat (telehealth) appointments will be scheduled for patients with symptoms of being sick including, but not limited to:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Body aches
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea/vomiting
  • Shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste and smell
  • Patients in contact with a positive covid case who require testing


Video Chat Instructions

To start a video visit, our staff will collect your cell phone number or email address.  The device you use should have a built-in camera in order to participate.  You will receive an invitation to Video Chat via text message or email. Click the link. Video Chat runs through your internet browser.  Your device will ask permission to use the camera and microphone. Make sure you allow access.  You will be taken directly to a video chat with Dr. Wasson. 

This type of chat is HIPPA compliant.


Symptoms of COVID-19 may include:

  • Fever (defined as temperature>100)
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or trouble breathing

Individuals at higher risk of complications include the following and should contact Dr. Wasson if you are exhibiting any of the symptoms above:

  • Patients age 65 and older
  • Chronic lung disease and asthma
  • Significant heart disease
  • Immunosuppression ( for example, patients with cancer, HIV, transplantation and chronic immunosuppressive therapy including steroids)
  • Diabetes
  • Morbid obesity
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Chronic liver disease

Tips to protect yourself and your family

  • Keep your essential doctor appointments, test and procedures
  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Avoid large crowds
  • Practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from others.
